on the new york best seller list, when I finally got around to reading
it I was glad I bought all three at the same time. People need to
understand this is not a Classic Novel, it's entertaining. I hadn't
picked up a romance novel in at least 30 yrs so I wasn't aware how
explicit they had become. I agree with some of the reviewers and the
complaints of the repetition but then this isn't Mark Twain or William
Shakespeare. I don't know what readers expect to get out of these books
but I took it at face value, it's something different than what I had
read in a while and I remembered the commercials (Calgon take me away)
while I was reading. It's a story about two people with many
differences and how much they were willing to compromise to stay
together. I don't agree with women being beaten regardless if they enjoy
it or not but it didn't make me like the books any less. I feel people
have fantasies and maybe that's what this writer has touched on with
the rat race we live in everything is so mechanical maybe we all need
one of those "Calgon take me away" moments. It was enjoyable while you
are reading it and in the end love conquered.
